Fever Creek, an exhibition of prints by Jackson Taylor, was on view at Welcome Gallery (in conjunction with New City Arts) in Charlottesville Virginia in May of 2023. A body of lithographic prints, along with a commercially printed tarp installation, depict images of concrete yard ornaments and textures of the decayed/derelict. Distorted and abstracted, minimizing legibility and clarity, the printed works create loose narratives detailing complacency, resignation, and digital camouflaging in the post-pandemic American South.
