Flood Claims
Produced During a July 2026 residency at Visible Records in Charlottesville, VA, Flood Claims is a suite of singular impressions by Louisville-based artist Jackson Taylor. Combining silkscreen, ink drawing, décollage, tinfoil, and latex paint, this body of work interrogates deluge mythologies, radical subjectivities, and alternative histories. The pieces operate as archaeological sites where narratives from Taylor's Southern Baptist and agrarian upbringing are re-contextualized into palimpsests of a mirror world, revealing what remains after the waters have receded.
